Caroline Essex has been a Certified Personal Trainer for over 8 years and a CrossFit trainer for 5. She has worked with hundreds of individual clients and countless CrossFit athletes.

Growing up as a force to be reckoned with in the sport of power tumbling, Caroline knows all too well the fundamentals of explosive movement. She retired from the sport at the ripe old age of 19, leaving with 2 National Championship titles and multiple state titles. Caroline joined the Air Force shortly after with a passion for her country and its people in 2006 and not much has changed since. It was while serving as an Aerial Combat Photographer that she learned the importance of being physically ready for anything. She has served in various roles in the military, but is now a Photographer stationed in Oklahoma City with the Air Guard.

During her time in the military Caroline was introduced to fitness competitions where she placed in a few shows earning a spot on the national stage. However, her desire for absolute physical preparedness wasn't fulfilled until finding CrossFit in 2012. That's when the real love story begins.  Her Personal Training certification from the NSCA provided the base for her knowledge of working with athletes ranging from adolescent to 70+, and her certifications in CrossFit only add to her ability to help everyone. Caroline is most passionate about seeing lives changed and will spend as much time and energy as it takes  to help athletes accomplish their goals.

Caroline doesn’t just instruct though, she can also hold her own on the competition floor as she competes in local competitions and dominates in the Oklahoma weightlifting community. She is a two time Oklahoma State Weightlifting Champion in 53kg weight class where she also won overall best lifter during the OK State Weightlifting Championships in 2017. She currently holds multiple state records across 2 weight classes. She is one of the primary coaches for the Sintered Barbell Club.
